What's In My January Makeup Bag

Charlotte Tilbury Golden Goddess Palette, Eyes to Mesmerise Marie Antoinette, Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade, Barry M Liquid Chrome Highlighter Drops

I don't know about you but every now and then I just want a shakeup of my makeup bag - I feel like I get stuck into a rut doing the same makeup every day and by switching out a few products I get excited to do my makeup again! I thought I'd share what's in my January makeup bag today as I got a few new bits for Christmas and I love using all of these products at the moment!

First up - an oldie but a goodie, Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. I say old, this particular tube isn't old but it must be my 10th or so replacement so it's a classic in that sense. I absolutely cannot rave about this mascara enough, it creates so much length and volume and is seriously comparable against more expensive brands. If you haven't tried it yet then I would definitely recommend you do!

Next up, a new addition to my makeup bag is the Barry M Liquid Chrome Highlighter Drops in Beam Me Up. This pretty much does what it says on the tin, it literally looks like liquid metal. I have been mixing it in with my foundation, or just dotting it onto my cheekbones and blending with a Beauty Blender. It gives a very impressive highlight but the only thing I would say is that you definitely don't need too much and a little goes a VERY long way. My first try of this, I used way too much and ended up looking like the Tin Man.

I was also very lucky at Christmas to receive Charlotte Tilbury's Golden Goddess Palette and Eyes to Mesmerise in Marie Antoinette from Chris this year. I am obsessed with the Eyes to Mesmerise and have been using it pretty much every day. I love the frosted glass pot it comes in, it feels so luxurious! It has the most incredible texture and you need the tiniest amount to cover the lid. Even though it is quite expensive the amount you actually use is so tiny I can imagine this will last for ages, making it worth the money. When I have a bit more time in the mornings I have been using the Golden Goddess Palette on top, and I am especially loving the 'Pop' shade, which is a warm golden glitter that you can press on top of your eyeshadow.

Another one that I have had for a while but only just got really into is my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Taupe. I have always preferred pencils to brow gels/pomades but lately I have been using this non-stop. It is a lot darker than using a pencil but I find I can get much better precision and it lasts a lot longer during the day too. I have actually nearly finished this so need to buy a new one ASAP!

Lastly, ANOTHER eye product, but this is just too gorgeous not to mention. The Bobbi Brown Nude Drama Palette has been another palette that I am reaching for again and again at the moment. The colours are perfect for every day use (see here) and the pigmentation is really good, as you would expect from Bobbi Brown. It also looks so pretty on my dressing table, I am just obsessed with it. Unfortunately this palette is limited edition and not available at the moment, but they did re-stock it once after it had sold out before, so hopefully they will again!

And that's it! What's in your January makeup bag at the moment?
