Charlotte Tilbury Sexy Sienna Lipstick

Charlotte Tilbury Sexy Sienna Lipstick Review

Hey beauties! I wasn't going to do a blog post on this lipstick as I've had it for a little while now, but the main reason I never wrote a review is because I took all the pictures and I didn't like any of them when I started editing them. By then I had used it for swatches etc and it looked all smudged and used so I didn't take any more pictures as I always try and keep everything pristine until I've taken pictures for the blog. I then realised that that was literally the most stupid reason not to feature it on here and still write the review! (P.S. Totally not happy with these pictures either... hazy much?!)

Anyway, I was bought this as a little treat from Chris when we were out shopping together and I picked it because I looove Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks. This colour just jumped out at me because I was really attracted to the colour and thought it would be perfect in summer, especially with a tan.

Charlotte Tilbury Sexy Sienna Lipstick Review & Swatch

Here comes queen of the swatches again - not! Only when I edited the pictures did I realise the big vein in my wrist was in it - note to self, do swatches further along the arm next time. I do not have one scrap of fake tan on in this picture, so it does swatch quite dark against a light skin tone. It definitely looks more orange against fair skin and then when I have fake tan on it looks a bit more peachy/coral. The Charlotte Tilbury website is really good for seeing the shade against different skin tones, great to check out if you're not sure what this would look like on you.

The formula is the Matte Revolution formula, which has to be one of my favourite matte formulas. It goes on so smooth and unlike other matte lipstick formulas, never feels drying. I also find that this fades really evenly - you don't get the patchy look where the middle fades and the outside doesn't. I am loving pairing this with a bronzey eye lately as the colours just compliment each other really well and it looks so summery. It's really nice to have a few different colours other than nude, and this gives me just enough pop of colour without being too 'out there'.

This lipstick really doesn't let the good name of Charlotte Tilbury down, it is yet another beautiful lipstick with a perfect formula - next on my hit list is Liv it Up, Kidman's Kiss or Bosworth's Beauty! What's your favourite CT lipstick?

xoxo
