What's In My Holiday Makeup Bag

Smashbox Primer Water, Hourglass Bronzer, MAC Creme Cup, Chanel Lip Gloss, Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow, NYX Lid Lingerie

We go to Italy in less than a week and I am SO disorganised. I haven't bought anything I need to and I don't even know what I'm packing yet! But of course I've thought about what makeup I'm taking... priorities. I ALWAYS over-pack on the makeup but I'm going to try sooo hard this time to pack light. I wish I could be one of those people who chucks on a bit of tinted moisturiser and bronzer and they look like a sun-kissed goddess but unfortunately being a Caspar the Friendly Ghost look-a-like, this just isn't going to happen. Anyway, I thought I'd share a round-up of what my holiday make-up bag looks like!

NYX Liquid Illuminator, Hourglass Bronzer, MAC Soft & Gentle and Chanel Lip Gloss

For foundation I'm going to take my Loreal True Match Foundation in 3N Creamy Beige. It's still full coverage but a lot lighter than Revlon Colorstay and more long lasting on me than NARS Sheer Glow which I love, but don't think it will survive too well in the warmer weather. Of course my trusty Collection Lasting Perfection concealer has made the list, and for blush and bronze I'll be taking my Hourglass Bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light and MAC Peachykeen blusher. I have been loving this blusher lately and it has a shimmer to it so will add to the summery glow I'm hoping for.

For highlight it had to be MAC Soft & Gentle, I just can't get enough of the golden tone to it. It always looks so nice and natural, and as you probably know from it's frequent appearances on the blog, it's my all time favourite. I'm also taking my NYX Liquid Illuminator in Gleam, to use underneath my foundation.

For eyes and brows I'm going to try my absolute best to keep it simple. I'm taking my NYX Lid Lingerie in Sweet Cloud (full review here) and my Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon pencil in Amber Haze. I always spend SO much time on my eye makeup and when you're on holiday you just want to be out exploring don't you?! So I'm trying to pack some simple eye makeup items that you can just swipe on and off you go. I'm also taking my Bobbi Brown gel liner in Chocolate Ink - but totally forgot to put it in the photo!

Loreal True Match Foundation, MAC Peachykeen, Chanel Lipgloss, Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow

I'm taking my favourite mascara, Maybelline Lash Sensational because it gives lovely full lashes and it doesn't drop down or smudge. If you haven't tried this yet I would highly recommend it, especially for the price. For brows I'll be packing my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow in Taupe. This stuff doesn't budge so should be perfect if it's hot... nobody wants their brows half way down their face by midday.

For lips I'm going to take MAC Creme Cup - it has fast become one of my favourite MAC lipsticks and I just find it goes with everything! I'm packing my Chanel Lip Gloss in Sahara, this was a limited edition from last year which I bought for our trip to Bali but we had to cancel it and I never wore it! (*sob*) It's a beautiful peachy gloss with flecks of gold glitter - perfect for holiday. I'm also taking my No7 BB Lips in Ballerina, it has an SPF in it and it will keep my lips moisturised.

Lastly, I'm taking the Smashbox Primer Water with me. Since I got given this by Smashbox nearly 2 weeks ago I have been using it every day. I am seriously OBSESSED. It makes your makeup look flawless and it does help my makeup to stay put! I just love the feeling of it on my skin and it does feel really hydrated after using it.

And there you have it! I'm almost sure that extra items will creep into my makeup bag as they always do! I've also packed a few more high-end items than I normally would - normally I'm so scared they'll lose my bag and I'd be literally devastated so upset if that happened but I touch wood, I haven't had any problems before. OK... I totally just jinxed myself there haven't I?!

Are you going away this year? What's your favourite holiday makeup picks?

xoxo
