NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tint - Sweet Cloud

NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tint Sweet Cloud

Hello Beauties hope you're all having a fab start to the week! If you read my high-street makeup haul post, you'll know that I recently picked up one of the NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tints in the shade Sweet Cloud. I won't lie to you, the minute I swatched it on my hand I was obsessed. I thought I'd do a little review and a makeup look with it; spoiler alert - it's incredible.

If you haven't seen them in store, the NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tints are a metallic/shimmery cream eye shadow that comes in 12 different shades. I tried a few of them on my hand in the shop and Sweet Cloud was the one that immediately caught my eye. It is a stunning rose-gold shade which has flecks of copper and pink running through it. It is definitely warm toned, so I think it would look good on most skin tones.

The thing I love best about this product is the formula - NYX describes it as weightless and this is definitely an accurate description. It goes on so smoothly and it needs hardly any blending. I just apply it to my lids using the doe-foot applicator and then use my finger to blend it over the lid and into the crease. The shimmer does not disappear as you blend it and the pigmentation stays really strong, which I was really impressed with considering this only costs £6.00. The fact it's called an eye tint made me think it would be quite sheer but this has amazing coverage and pigmentation. You can't feel it on the lids and it drys really quickly, meaning you can apply eye shadow to the crease without it caking.

I have been using this every day since I bought it, like I said before - obsessed! I just love how pretty it looks on the lid and I love how the rose gold colour gives a beautiful warmth to the makeup look. In this look above I used MAC Soft Brown as my transition colour, then applied the Lid Lingerie all over the lid and up to the crease, and then I used MAC Swiss Chocolate and Espresso mixed together to deepen the crease. It takes hardly any time at all, and I am just in love with this eye makeup at the moment.

In terms of longevity, lasts for a long time - I applied it at about 8AM and it was still going strong at 11PM, so well over 12 hours. Again, considering the price you might expect it to wear off quite quickly but it definitely goes the distance. Overall, I am so impressed with this and I will 100% be rushing out to buy some other shades! Have you tried any of the NYX eye tints? What did you think?

xoxo
