Mini High-Street Makeup Haul

High Street Haul - Essie Nail Polishes, Nyx Lid Lingerie, NYX Micro Brow Pencil, Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara and Max Factor Creme Puff Blush

Hello Beauties! I'm so sorry it has been well over a week since my last blog post, I was really busy last weekend and then the week just seemed to get away from me without any chance to take lots of pictures and plan out my posts. Anyway, I'm back on track now and excited to be blogging regularly again. I went to Boots this weekend just gone and I loved seeing what all the high-street brands have got out at the moment, so thought I'd share the goodies that I bought today!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara | £7.99
This was a repurchase for me - I love this mascara! I wrote last year how I made the mistake of trying the waterproof version, which just does not match up to the original formula at all for me. The original formula gives you amazingly full lashes with a lot of length and curl, whereas the waterproof version made me look like I only had 3 eye lashes on each eye - they were thin, spidery and separated! This mascara is just as good as high end mascaras as far as I'm concerned - LOVE!

Another repurchase, I've mentioned this baby in this post and this post before, and it has quickly become my favourite brow product. I was waiting ages for this to come back into stock, so as soon as I saw it I nabbed it! I love the fine precision of this pencil but mostly I love it because of the colour. With blonde hair I find so many brow pencils that are meant to be for blondes are too yellowy or too gingery so I tend to look for ones that have a grey undertone to them.

When picking up the brow pencil I saw the Lid Lingerie eye shadows, and as soon as I started swatching them, I knew I was getting one. Sweet Cloud has a beautiful champagne/rose-gold colour with insane shimmer, it is such a beautiful colour and I used it for the first time today. I'm going to do a more in depth review soon so won't write too much here, but I am seriously impressed!

Essie Not Just A Pretty Face and Spin the Bottle

I really like the Essie formula so I bought these two because they were buy one get one half price! They always apply really smoothly and they don't seem to go horrible and tacky in the bottle too quickly meaning you get a lot of use out of them. Not Just a Pretty Face is a stunning peach-pink shade, perfect for a neutral nail and easy to wear colour. Spin the Bottle is a pale milky latte shade, with a mink undertone. Again another perfect nude, this one is a really sophisticated colour and I think it will look amazing against a tan.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Lovely Pink

I have raved about the Creme Puff blushes before, and these have to be my favourite high street blush formula. The powder is so silky and they feels very finely milled, which I think makes the Creme Puff blushes feel more expensive than they are! Lovely Pink is a soft baby pink shade with peachy/gold tones running through it, and it has a soft shimmer when applied to the cheeks. It is so gorgeous in the pan and on the cheeks, I'm really happy with this one!

What high-street goodies have you picked up lately? My eye is on the Sleek highlighting palette in Solstice next!

xoxo
