Mini Tanya Burr Cosmetics Haul

Tanya Burr Birthday Suit Palette, Enchanted Dream Palette and Birthday Cake Lipstick

How beautiful are these Tanya Burr palettes? A few months ago I became obsessed with watching Tanya's makeup videos, because I was really interested in getting NARS Sheer Glow foundation, and she uses it in a lot of her makeup videos. Anyway when I was watching the videos she was used her eyeshadow palettes in a few of them and I made a mental note to pick them up - it only took me 3 months but I finally bought two of them! I bought the Birthday Suit Palette, the Enchanted Dream Palette and I also picked up one of the lipsticks in Birthday Cake. I am already in love with them!

Tanya Burr Birthday Suit Palette

Birthday Suit is a warm toned eye shadow quad with two shimmer shades and two matte shades- Marzipan - a beautiful champagne shimmer shade, Toast - a warm toned soft/light brown colour (good for a transition shade), Cocoa Sugar - a shimmery medium brown tone and Soft Truffle - a dark brown matte shade great for adding depth to the crease or for smudging out liner. The pigment is actually incredible considering the price, they have a buttery creamy texture and even the matte shades (which can sometimes be a bit chalky in high-street palettes) are easily blendable. I have to say I am really impressed.

Tanya Burr Enchanted Dream Palette

The Enchanted Dream palette is more on the cool side, with pretty soft berry tones and minky shimmer shades. I don't wear these colours too often as I am just so addicted to warm tones against blue eyes but I am so excited to get some use out of this. The four shades are Moonlit Walk- a frosty creamy pink shimmer shade, Cocoa Plum - a mink shimmer shade with lilac undertones, absolutely gorgeous packed all over the lid, Berry Souffle - a matte light berry shade great for putting in the crease and Magic Carper - a deep blackberry toned shade which you can smudge along the lash line for a fab smokey eye. The quality of the shades matches the other palette - really soft and velvety textures that are easy to blend. Tanya has a makeup tutorial using this palette here if you want to see it.

Tanya Burr Birthday Cake Lipstick

I was so excited to try the Birthday Cake lipstick - this kind of shade is right up my street! I found that it has a sheer consistency so it doesn't come out exactly the same colour as in the tube. I usually put foundation over my lips before applying lipstick because my lips are naturally very dark, but because it's quite a sheer formula this then made me look like I had no lips! So I tried it without the foundation lips and I much preferred the colour. It is a lovely pink shade, with a peachy undertone rather than a lilac/blue undertone so it will be perfect for the Summer. I do wish it had more pigment to it, as I am literally in love with the shade in the tube but considering it's only £6.99 you really can't complain and I will still get a lot of use out of it.

Have you tried anything from Tanya Burr Cosmetics? What should I try next?

  5. I love the Birthday Suit palette but find Cocoa Sugar to have rubbish pigmentation - I like my shimmers to be really pigmented. Still a lovely palette for the price though! xx

    1. I know what you mean, it definitely isn't as creamy as the others which is weird because the Enchanted Dream one both of the shimmers are pigmented! I also thought the lipstick would be more pigmented but for the price you can't complain ha! x

    1. Aw thank you so much my lovely that's so sweet of you! It's such a shame you can't get them, I think Look Fantastic sell Tanya Burr and they do international shipping I think, but sometimes the postage can work out more than the actual item can't it! xx
