An Early Christmas Treat: Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Perfume

Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Cologne

Me and mum went to London last week, on a mission to get in the festive spirit with a girly day out and lots of Christmas shopping. We had an amazing day, starting off in Spitalfields market and then off to Covent Garden for some lunch and then more shopping. It was lovely to see London all glammed up in it's Christmas decor and you realise how lucky you are to have such an amazing city on your doorstep. We made a stop off at Jo Malone in Covent Garden (after stocking up on Laduree macaroons), and my mum treated me to a pre-Christmas treat in the shape of one of my favourite Jo Malone fragrances, Pomegranate Noir (best mum ever!). I've never had the actual perfume before, only the candle so I am so excited to finally have this in my perfume collection.

Pomegranate Noir is well loved by many and after one sniff you can see why. It has a deep, woody, almost masculine scent which to me smells really exotic and unusual. At first this smells slightly fruity to me but after a few minutes I can really smell clove and it starts to warm up a lot with spicy notes. (Please forgive my rubbish scent descriptions!) I'm really fussy with perfumes and sometimes I find that the smell can change on me when I'm wearing it, but this doesn't seem to change at all which I love. I only need the tinyest spritz and I keep getting lovely hints of it during the day. I find that it really does last all day too, so you don't have to keep re-applying it.

This is definitely an autumn/winter scent for me as I think it would be a bit too rich for the summer. It is quite a heavy scent so it's not for everyone but for me I just think it smells so delicious. I literally can't wait to start wearing it! I definitely want to try more of the Jo Malone perfumes, I really like Peony and Blush Suede, but also thinking of trying English Pear and Freesia. What are your suggestions? Do you have a favourite Jo Malone scent?

xoxo

  1. I've had this scent as a candle before and it is so so gorgeous, I love it! I have the Red Roses perfume, and it smells beautiful but again, very rich and intense like you said (I think all the Jo Malone fragrances are) but I always get loads of compliments on it! xo

    Love, Catherine
