Christmas Gift Wrapping Inspiration - Pink & Rose Gold

Christmas Gift Wrapping Pink and Rose Gold

I know some people hate wrapping presents but I weirdly like it. Well, not so much the actual wrapping but I get excited to plan the theme and buy all the different papers and ribbons and extra little bits! (I know, weird.) Every year I usually pick a colour scheme, and then mix and match different gift wrapping bits. This year's theme was pink & copper, which I decided on when I saw this pink wrapping paper in M&S (heart eyes all round!). Originally I was going to keep it quite traditional with brown paper and string etc but the magpie in me saw the pink paper and I couldn't resist. Sorry to the men in my life, but even your presents are pink this year :)

Luckily, M&S also had the copper kraft paper which I grabbed at the same time in their 3 for 2 deal. I bought both the baby pink ribbon and the rose gold ribbon from eBay, you can find some amazing ribbons and gift wrap on there for half the price in the shops because they aren't aimed at Christmas shoppers necessarily. (Both of them are 7mm wide for reference.) The rose gold curling ribbon and shiny bows were in a set from WH Smith which had gold and silver ribbons and bows in it too. I didn't need the other colours but I couldn't find that beautiful rose gold colour anywhere else!

I also bought normal brown parcel paper from WH Smith and used a copper Sharpie (bought from eBay) to draw little designs on it before wrapping the presents. I love that you can personalise your wrapping paper -you could even write little messages on it instead of a pattern! The kraft tags are from WH Smith also. Finally I finished off my parcels with these adorable parcel topper baubles from Wilkinsons (or is it officially Wilko now?!). Only £1 for a box of 12 - I couldn't resist.

If you are in need of some more Christmas wrapping inspiration my favourite place has to be Pinterest - so many good ideas it's easy to get a bit lost looking through them. To pick my theme I usually start with one paper I really love - in this case the pink one from M&S, and go from there. Pick your colours and then buy your accessories to fit round your scheme. I always like to mix and match the accessories, I never buy them all from one place and that way you get a more personalised end result. I also like to keep the boxes from stuff that's been delivered on the lead up to Christmas, they come in so handy when you have an awkward shape to wrap!

xoxo

  1. Really very pretty Laura! I like pretty packages at Christmas, its how I wrap mine & with bows. I continue to have a real thing for rose gold this year, and it goes so well with pink. Lol for the men, but hey, its the thought that counts right?!

    1. Thanks Heidi! Oh good I'm glad I'm not the only one everyone else in my family hates wrapping! And exactly, it's hard enough to buy for men let alone worry about manly wrapping paper haha! Xx

  2. This is the most beautiful gift wrapping I have ever seen. I love it. I don't like wrapping gifts and at all and I do it as fast as I can:-) I'm not sure, in Switzerland we don't do this wonderful thought-out wrapping. Is this more usual in England? Or does it depend on the people? Haha, sorry for this strange question.
