Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Review - Luminous Flush

Hourglass Luminous Flush Review

I am besotted with Hourglass products - even though I don't have many, the ones I do have are just phenomenal quality and as such all of them are firm favourites in my collection. They are however quite expensive, with blushers costing £32 and the bronzers (one of my all time favourites) a whopping £45. Having said that, once you try them and feel the silky soft powders you would gladly sell your soul for one of these babies, and the £32 suddenly seems well worth it to avoid the inconvenience. I also don't think Space NK is in the business of accepting souls for makeup anyway.

The latest addition to my little Hourglass family is Luminous Flush - the most gorgeous pink blusher which is described as 'a champagne rose blush fused with Luminous Light to evoke a candlelit glimmer'. On my skin it is the perfect mix of warm and cool pinks - so not too corally and not too barbie pink either. I think depending on your skin tone this blush could change between a pink or coral undertone, although I would say if you are looking for a distinctly warm tone coral or apricot type shade, Dim Infusion may be better than this one.

The finish on this blush is incredible, it not only gives a beautiful flush of colour but the light reflecting pigments in it means it also gives your skin a naturally 'lit from within' glow to the cheeks. Unfortunately thanks to the dark weather I couldn't get the best picture to show the colour, but I can assure you these are highly pigmented.

Overall I would thoroughly recommend this blusher, the colour is beautiful and I think it would look good on any skin tone. There is nothing that I don't like about this blusher, and as I said previously the quality more than justifies the price tag. I can imagine this would be a really pretty blusher for bridal/wedding makeup due to the neutral pink tone and the finish it gives to the skin. I cannot wait to try more of the Hourglass blushers, I particularly like the look of Radiant Magenta as I love blue-based pink blusher so I'm putting that on the wish list.

Have you tried any Hourglass blushers? What are your thoughts?

xoxo
